About This Game

Staxel is a creative farming and village life game with a cast of quirky characters. Build your farmhouse, help villagers, take to the wilds to fish or hunt for bugs, and grow a variety of crops in your backyard. If you’re feeling social, you can even invite your friends over to share in the fun!

Experience Village Life

In Staxel, you’re tasked with restoring the farm to its former glory as the newest resident in a budding village. While they may have their quirks, the other residents will help you get settled in. Return the favour and help the village flourish!

When you’re not hanging out with your newfound friends or working on your farm, you could be pursuing a new hobby, completing one of many collections, spending your hard-earned money on precious seeds, or lending a hand and making your mark on the town!

Nurture Your Farm

Put down your roots and settle into life as a newcomer to the village. Starting out with a run-down, old home and farmland reclaimed by the wilderness, it’s up to you to turn the place around. Plant seeds, carefully tend to your crops, take care of your animals, and expand your farm. Don’t forget: take care of your farm, and your farm will take care of you!

Share the Fun!

Working a farm on the outskirts of an unfamiliar village can get lonely, so why not invite your friends to hang out? Staxel was designed with multiplayer in mind from day one, so team up and get your buddies working those fields! You can share a farm with your friends or become neighbours in Staxel’s vast world.

Customise Your World

Staxel’s voxel-based sandbox world lets you alter your surroundings however you like, and with a rich selection of in-game materials and an intuitive approach to modding, you can truly create your own unique world within the game.

Will you grow the village while keeping its rustic charm, or take it in an entirely new direction? Perhaps you’d rather leave the village and focus on your own projects? It’s all up to you, and your creativity is exactly the tool for the job! 7ad7b8b382

Bad minecraft clone, not good.

The only thing I regret about this game is not returning it for a refund while I had the chance.. Let me start out by saying this game is mostly for Doers. If you like to play Minecraft and consider yourself pretty handy when it comes to building stuff (especially houses) then this is your game. In other words: Having a creative mind helps.
The sky is practically the limit with this game in terms of building and doing whatever you want. Though, it can be a bit overwhelming at first with all the projects coming at you.
Villagers have quests for you and the more you do for them the closer friends you become etc...
You get mailboxes from the Mayor that are for future residents that you place down and lists what you need to make the house. (This will take awhile, I personally chose to go on creative mode for buildings.)
There are festivals, fish, bugs, seeds, food and work stations that have you craft certain items.
That's about all I have for now, i'm on a new world because it has been awhile since I've played and there were a lot of updates--Which is a major Pro to this game, seeing as how the developers are very committed to updating the game.

-P.S. Mods make life easier and more entertaining if you so choose to browse the Workshop.

The only thing I regret about this game is not returning it for a refund while I had the chance.. This is a fun game where you can build a farm and talk to townspeaople.. . It's not the game for me. I'm sure there's people who will love the game.
The game lacks exploration (you can never die), and is more focused on farming and town building.. I'm only recommending this game if you're an early access junkie and aren't too concerned with a few bugs and glitches (although supposed to be fully released).

This game is a wonderful blend of Minecraft, Stardew Valley, and another early access game I adore, Stonehearth (square headed foxes, yaaay). I might be a bit bias as I tend to gravitate towards open world, crafting, farming type of games, but I believe this game does most of the core concepts very well. The daily "quests" so to speak can be done or completely forgotten and so far it doesn't seem to be a big impairment on anything, other than missing out on some rewards. The crafting aspect I feel could be a bit smoother, but, I do enjoy the creative aspect of having different tools\/tables to design things - because that's quite realistic. The farming is quite simple and without any stamina loss, you can create, water, and expand to your heart's desire.

I do feel like the days are a bit short, but ultimately they are not a big deal unless they're specific event days.

On the cons. One of my BIGGEST peeves with this game is the inventory system and when you are given a quest item, if you're full, it literally just drops on the ground. Unless I missed the notification, I never saw the "inventory full" pop up... this has resulted in me backtracking for a few days just to find silly daily quests like letters, which I ultimately stopped prioritizing.

The game is still a bit laggy for me. I can run Skryim, Fallout 4, but this game cannot load in the world at times and has crashed. Anytime it's reloaded, I'm exactly where I was, so no loss, but very inconvenient. It has come a very long way in comparison to first released - I could not even play it, so they have made strides in improvement. That being said, it appears they are making continual updates, such as the one not even a week ago, so hopefully they move in that direction and continue.

All in all, I think this is a great little time waster game, especially if you enjoy the genres. It would definitely be more fun in a group or with friends, alas I have no one who would enjoy this.. Excellent game for the value. Choose this over My Time at Portia.. It's good at first but gets boring because events are all the same and not exciting. All you do here is build your farm, grow crops, took care of your animals. You also build houses for villagers who want to move in at your own expense but their rewards are trash. I hope you could add more elements in the game like combat (even though you said this is not gonna happen) and more events for each month.
