About This Content

Never in the history of the Twelve Colonies have so many sacrificed so much. Even as Colonial Fleet holds the Cylons at bay, the toll of the war continues to climb.
But something has changed. Rumors of an awakening, whispers of a name. Lachesis.
For Admiral Lucinda Cain and the crew of the Daidalos, the time has come to face their greatest threat yet.

Battlestar Galactica Deadlock is back with a new expansion! In Sin and Sacrifice, the epic story of Deadlock continues, and brings with it an exciting conclusion to the Season One storyline.

New Campaign

A brand-new story campaign with 11 story missions set after the original Deadlock campaign and Operation Anabasis. Loyalties will be questioned. Resolves will be tested. And for Lucinda Cain, Admiral of Colonial Fleet, not all threats come from outside. Sin and Sacrifice writes new pages in the lore of the Battlestar Galactica universe and tells the story of one of the most critical junctures of the First Cylon war.

New Radio Chatter

Colonial Fleet radio chatter voice pack. A new radio chatter system featuring over 1100 unique recordings injects more drama and tension into the combats of Battlestar Galactica Deadlock, bringing your knife-edge encounters to life. Radio chatter is present both in combat, and during your cinematic replays, making your Battlestar Galactica fleet experience even more immersive.

New Ships

Colonial Heracles - Heavy Gunship
An Imperial Wars era gunship of Leonid descent. The Heracles is a heavy warship that emphasizes power over finesse. Where it isn’t covered in layers of armor plating, it’s lined with point defense turrets capable of sustaining high volume flak fields. Its spine is lined with heavy artillery and features a set of “doorkickers” at its fore for direct head-to-head assaults. The Heracles brings a heavy toolset of firepower to level any battle field.
Cylon Gorgon – Squadron Support
A mobile support carrier with advanced squadron repair and support functions. The Gorgon is an advanced repair platform that enables rapid turnaround repairs for squadrons from any ship in the fleet. Complex comm arrays house a sophisticated Machine Learning Matrix, which tracks the risk profile of a single squadron, and dynamically updates the squadron’s evasive programming in response to threats. A sophisticated support ship perfect for Cylon squadron tactics. 7aa9394dea

The comm chatter alone makes this DLC well worth it, especially on sale. It adds a lot more life to your units to hear feedback now and then. Can't speak for the campaign, yet.. I really enjoyed this expansion of Battlestar Galactica. It had some of the most challenging missions of the three (the other two been Deadlock and Broken Alliance). However, they were not impossible. If you do your Saves carefully, you can redo the missions - try something new.

The ambience was great. I enjoyed the back chatter. Also, I liked the ship veterancy system; where ships received bonuses to some of their attributes. For example, Artemis got reduced damage and increased range. Each ship had their own unique type of enhancement. Some were not very useful though. These enhancements increase slightly as your ship upgrades from rookie to experienced to veteran to elite.

The addition of the Heracles was nice. It is an upgrade to the minotaur, with more armour and slightly more firepower possible, depending on position of ship to its opponent. It has the same firepower on its bottom as on its top. It also has flak. They are pretty tough. However, it would have been nicer if they could have added a couple more new ships to the game.

For me, this was the funnest of the four- Deadlock, Broken Alliance, and Anabasis been the other three. I also enjoyed Deadlock and Broken Alliance. My least favorite was Anabasis. I felt it was too hard - therefore, frustrating.. Delivers the endgame I always wanted. Nothing but the biggest and heaviest can survive.

11300 FP enemy fleets and a heavy gunship that deserves the name (sorry Minotaur, you have nice big guns but you are a squishy little marshmallow).. Nope. All open play is gone. Now ts like acting a predefined role in a play that allows no variance in script kinda like watching epsiodes of BSG on TV rather than interacting within a game world.

But I must say I got a chuckle when in the heat of a battle over the new comm chatter came a voice wondering what the Cylons see on their radar, "Are we just a Dradis blip to them too?"

There are enough small changes made to the game by this DLC that allows me to replay the Deadlock + Broken Alliance campaign over again with a fresh feel. But playing through Sin and Sacrifice itself is stale compared to Deadlock + Broken Alliance. Great DLC. I am in the army and i've deployed to Afghanistan and let me tell you, the Comm Chatter would have soldiers killed by their own Sgt Mjr's. You don't jam up frequencies with BS, you only use the radio to give pertinent information. Though i like their immersion ideas and think more games should do that. The missions here are really good, the story is great, and the tactical situations are really good. I recommend. 9\/10.. Battlestar Galactica Deadlock: Sin and Sacrifice<\/b> is the newest expansion for Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock. It adds 2 new ships - Gorgon and Heracles gunship, a brand new campaign which picks up after Anabasis\/TBA along with various gameplay adjustments as well as the Veterancy update. It is also the conclusion to the "First Season" of Deadlock's storyline.

In the Sin and Sacrifice campaign, you continue fighting in the First Cylon war with either your old fleets (by importing saves) or by starting anew. This time around, there is more emphasis placed on the dozen campaign missions rather than combat encounters (although side missions are still around along with Cylon occupation). The story picks up where it left off with TBA\/Anabasis, with you taking command of the fleet once again, this time trying to beat back a Cylon offensive. The new missions have much more work put into them when compared to TBA or main game, with focus on environments along with other aspects. This time around they feel more challenging, which I appreciate. The new campaign goes to interesting places, takes more risks and most often manages to pull them off. The only issues I had with them were minor bugs along with some really unnecessary hand holding in some missions. Either way, I found the direction that this expansion took to be quite interesting and playing through it was definitely worth it.

The new ships, Gorgon and Heracles, are neat additions as well. Gorgon is a Cylon support ship that seems to work nicely with fighter-centric fleets, buffing squadrons and working as a utility craft. The Heracles Gunship is somewhat of a successor to the Minotaur gunship - it has every inch decked out with guns along with flak ability, making it a force to be reckoned with in the battlefield.

The Veterancy update also introduced some other features - a music player, fleet chatter and crew veterancy system along with some other minor tweaks or features. The in-game music player is a neat addition which lets you pick and play any of the in-game soundtracks. The fleet chatter is quite nice as well, adding some more life to your fleet and squadrons. You feel a lot more immersed with it. The crew veterancy system is also quite nice - as you win battles and keep your ships alive, you gain bonuses that improve your ships. Some of the bonuses are gimmicky, while others are more useful, e.g. firewall strength. I would have, however, preferred the exp gain to be faster or less demanding.

Overall, I think the Sin and Sacrifice expansion is definitely worth picking up, thanks to the new missions, ships, fleshed out combat and the other tweaks. I felt a bit more interested in the storyline this time around, as well as found the new features to be quite neat. Also, the soundtrack is excellent (I can't stress this enough)! My only complaints would be some of the minor design choices (I would have preferred some leniency in certain missions) as well as a few glitches that didn't necessarily impact the experience.
